If you are a sports lover, then the book is a must-read. Being a cricket lover myself, I have never come across such a beautiful Bengali story book that describes life and politics behind all that World Cup glory and celebration. It is such a well-documented book! Absolutely recommended.
টি-২০ নিয়ে এতগুলো গল্প এই প্রথম পড়লাম। পড়েই মনে হল বিশে বিষ ছক্কা হাঁকিয়েছে! ছোট বই। কমপ্যাক্ট। আমি কাহাক পাবলিশার্সের ‘ফিরে দেখা’, ‘প্রান্তিকথা’, ‘নয়নম্পাস’ পড়েছি। অসাধারণ লেগেছে। তাই নির্দ্বিধায় বিশে বিষ কিনেছি। পড়ে মনে হল, আমরা টিভিতে যা দেখি আসলে তা নয়। সত্যি কতটা অন্ধকার জগৎ লুকিয়ে থাকে এই খেলার পেছনে। নোংরা রাজনীতি আর বেটিংয়ে ছেয়ে গেছে গোটা স্পোর্টস ইন্ডাস্ট্রি।
টিভিতে যা দেখি, তার ঠিক উল্টো। তাই অন্য অভিজ্ঞতা পেতে অবশ্যই লিস্টে রাখতে পারেন ‘বিশে বিষ’।
বইটি পাঠকদের পছন্দের তালিকায় থাকতে বাধ্য। একটা খেলার পেছনে যে কত খেলা লুকিয়ে আছে তা সত্যিই আমজনতার চোখে ধরা পড়ে না। একটা খেলা শেষ হয় তো অন্য খেলা শুরু। আমার নিজের অবশ্য ‘বুকির ছেলে’, ‘ফাউল প্লে’, ‘স্টান্স রান উইন’, ‘বিশ বাঁও চোরাবালি’, ‘নট আউট’ গল্পগুলি বেশি ভালো লেগেছে।
ক্রিকেট দেখতে একরকম, পড়তে আর এক। ক্রিকেট নিয়ে যে ফিকশনাল এত সুন্দর গল্প লেখা যায়, না পড়লে জানতেই পারতাম না। বইটিতে ১৪টি গল্প আছে। শুধু ছক্কা বা বাউন্ডারির উল্লাস নয়, এই বাউন্ডারির ওপারেও যে কত অন্ধকার
জগৎ লুকিয়ে আছে, তা না পড়লে জানা যায় না। লেখকেরা প্রত্যেকেই খুব সুন্দরভাবে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন।
