বাঙালির সেরা পুজো- দুর্গাপুজো। তার রীতিনীতি, সংস্কার, ঐতিহ্যের সাথে ইতিহাসের অপূর্ব মেলবন্ধন পেলাম ‘দেবীদালান’ বইটিতে। বনেদী বাড়ির পুজো দেখার সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়নি। কিন্তু এই বইয়ের প্রতিটি গল্পের মাধ্যমে আমি ঘুরে দেখলাম বনেদী বাড়ির পুজো। বনেদী বাড়ির অন্দরমহলে চলে আর এক খেলা!
পুজোকে ঘিরে তাঁদের কদর্য রূপ উঠে এসেছে এই গল্পগুলিতে। আবার মায়ের আশীর্বাদে ভেঙে যাওয়া সম্পর্ক কীভাবে ফিরে আসে, সেটাও রয়েছে। বাঙালি, বাঙালিয়ানা, পুজো, ঐতিহ্য সব মিলিয়ে ভালো অভিজ্ঞতা।
